Bilayer Compression Operator

The selected candidate should have:

1. Practical Bilayer Compression experience.
2. Knowledge of GMP, SOP, and GDP.
3. Ability to independently operate a Bilayer Compression Machine.
4. Knowledge of tablet compression defects and troubleshooting.
5. Experience in BMR and machine logbook documentation.
6. Knowledge of in-process parameters such as weight, hardness, and thickness.
7. Ability to perform machine cleaning and product changeover.
8. Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

The candidate must have practical knowledge and skills in:

• Bilayer tablet compression machine operation
• Machine setup, dismantling, assembly, and cleaning
• Machine changeover and product changeover
• Punch and die handling and basic tooling knowledge
• Turret and feeder setup
• Compression parameter setting and adjustment
• First layer and second layer compression control
• Monitoring tablet weight variation
• Monitoring tablet hardness and thickness
• Identification of tablet defects such as:
• Capping
• Chipping
• Sticking
• Picking
• Lamination
• Double impression
• Weight variation
• Layer separation
• Basic machine troubleshooting
• Identification and reporting of machine abnormalities
• Operation of associated equipment such as deduster and metal detector, where applicable
• Basic knowledge of machine preventive care and lubrication

• 12th Pass, preferably Science stream
• ITI – Mechanical / Electrical / Fitter or relevant technical trade
• Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Pharmacy or relevant field
• D.Pharm will be preferred
• B.Pharm candidates may also be considered based on relevant hands-on experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical tablet compression.
• Mandatory experience in Bilayer Tablet Compression.
• Experience in operating machines such as Cadmach, Fette, Korsch, Sejong, Karnavati, or equivalent bilayer compression machines will be preferred.
• Candidate should be capable of independently handling machine setup, operation, changeover, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
